Over the past 25 years, Gemini Award winner David Ozier has shot, written, directed or story edited on more than 250 episodes of a broad range of documentary, lifestyle and reality programming.



Along the way he’s ridden shotgun on illicit street races down the 401 and learned the hard way how not to shoot out the open doors of an in flight Boeing Chinook (Road Movies, CBC), documented the impact of dynamite fishing in Indonesia (Pacific Rim Report, CBC) and commodity volatility on coffee plantation workers in Central America (Java Jive, NFB), journeyed to the Black Rock Desert in a bright red double decker bus with a dance floor (Zed, CBC), discovered that the right window treatments really do tie a room together (The Stagers, HGTV), survived catfights and cacophony (The Real Housewives of Vancouver, Slice), fell in love with DC-3s (Ice Pilots, History) and conquered seemingly 10,000 to 1 shooting ratios (Highway Thru Hell, Discovery).



He recently directed, shot and edited CROC LOVE, a short doc for a conservation organization in Belize. The work was hard, sometimes dangerous, and incredibly rewarding. Even if he wasn’t getting paid a dime…
